Offers of admission are contingent upon the applicant completing all prerequisite course work with satisfactory grades, and remediating any other conditional issues by September 1, 2021.*
A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is required to hold your admission seat within 10 business days of your official acceptance email. It will be applied to your 1st quarter tuition.*
All required immunizations, vaccinations and forms must be completed according to the program’s Immunization Policy & submitted to Certiphi myRecordTracker® by September 17, 2021.*
All students are required to complete a Background Check & 10-Panel Drug Screen prior to matriculation into the program and again prior to the clinical year. Any issues identified by either screening may impact clinical rotation availability, for which South College cannot be held accountable. *
The tentative Orientation dates are September 23-24, 2021. Attendance is mandatory. *
Medical Equipment and scrubs must be purchased during Orientation from our preferred vendor to ensure equipment quality and provide you with the highest discount available through our exclusive contract. This will allow you get the caliber of equipment needed for an affordable price.*
Attending classes during the evening and possibly on Saturday or Sunday, may be required. *
In order to be properly prepared, you must devote time to intense study and review of anatomy and physiology prior to the beginning of fall classes.*
You should anticipate that one or more of your clinical rotations will be at a site away from Nashville. South College includes funds in your loans to help cover these costs. Unfortunately, they do not give you all this money in one lump sum when needed; it is spread out across all 9 loan disbursements. This means you will need to start saving some of that money with every check so that you will have at least $1000 saved up by the start of the clinical year.*
All students are required to earn at least 50 hours of program-approved Community Service prior to graduation. *
Full-time employment while in the didactic and/or clinical learning year of the program is prohibited.*
Students in the Physician Assistant Program are held to the highest level of professional competence, integrity, and personal responsibility. An Honor Code formally recognizes that students must take responsibility for their academic, ethical, and professional behavior. Students shall comply with all of the aspects of this Honor Code as listed in the student handbook.*

The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the South College - Nashville Physician Assistant Program sponsored by South College – Nashville.
Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation-Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.
Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class.
